Behavioral therapy is a popular form of psychotherapy that emphasizes the importance of underlying thoughts in determining how we feel and how we act. Considered as one of the most effective forms of psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy has become the focus of hundreds of research studies. For a long time, their indication remained limited to phobias and other anxiety disorders, but gradually behavioral therapies proved to be effective for other psychiatric pathologies such as personality disorders, depression or schizophrenia, for example. In these situations, however, care is longer and is often associated with the medication.
