Diabetes

Diabetes is a disease that currently poses a global health problem. The aging of the population, sedentary lifestyle and obesity have multiplied the number of diabetics. Diabetes is a chronic disease that arises because the pancreas does not synthesize the amount of insulin that the human body needs, makes it of inferior quality, or is not able to use it effectively. Controlling the risk factors associated with diabetes improves the life expectancy of those affected. It is a disease due to a partial or total lack of the effect of a hormone called insulin that is characterized by the elevation of glucose (sugar) in the blood.
