People who suffer from bipolar disorder go from being very happy and euphoric to being sad and depressed.
Some people feel sad or irritable from time to time and may say they are in a bad mood. Mood disorders are different because they affect the person’s emotional state on a daily basis. The World Health Organization highlights that it is one of the main causes of disability, being more prevalent than diseases such as AIDS or multiple sclerosis.
